The scenic Thailand

The rules at the table in each country are different. Remember about important manners on table in Thailand. Do use a fork and spoon when eating. Hold the spoon in your right hand and push the food into your spoon with the fork. Leave a little bit of food on your plate when you're done eating to indicate that you are full. Put your spoon and fork at the 5:25 position when you are done eating. Remember that the left hand not used for food. Do give and receive gifts with your right hand, not your left. A gift is always open at the time of receipt. Usually, you buy a gift as liquor, books, or sweets.
After receiving a gift say thank the gift giver with a wai. " Wai is when a person puts their hands together close to their body at chest level and gives a slight bow. The higher the hands, the more respectful the wai. It can mean "Hello", "I'm sorry", or "Good-bye." Very important not to show affection in public or even touch someone of the opposite sex. The head is something holy in Thailand, remember not to touch in particular, heads of the child. When you go to the Thai house take off your shoes before entering the house. Thais believe that a spirit lives in the threshold, so don’t step on a threshold when going through a doorway. Step over it instead.
The rules at a temple. Don't sit with your feet pointing towards a Buddha. Sit cross-legged or with your feet tucked under you. Don't touch a monk, give him anything, sit next to him, or sit above him. Don't touch a Buddha image. They are sacred. Don't climb on top of it, move it, or even sit next to it to pose for a picture. It's disrespectful.

My Poland

When you go to Poland remember about a few rules to be complied. If invited to a Pole's home for dinner, bring wine, flowers (give an odd numbers, Don’t give yellow chrysanthemums as they are used for funerals. Do not give red or white flowers, especially carnations and lilie), pastries or sweets, gifts are generally opened when received. Shake hands with everyone upon arriving and leaving.

Handshakes are quite firm and eye contact is valued. Be punctual, arrive about 15 minutes late. By arriving 15 minutes late, it gives the hosts some extra time to prepare, but don't arrive more than 15 minutes late, as that would be rude. check to see if your hosts are wearing slippers. If so, you may have to remove your shoes. To feel comfortable with someone in the house, check and make sure your socks don't have holes beforehand. Don’t discuss Polish-Russian, Polish-German, or Polish-Austrian relations or Poland's geographical borders. It can be a very touchy subject.

Calgary vs. Warsaw - The Crime

Comparing Calgary to Warsaw ( the city where I lived and worked), I can say.
Calgary is safer from Warsaw. Learned to live in such a place, so I don't feel threatened in any way when I walk the street in the evening. In Warsaw, lives and works about 4 million residents. It is a city which is alive day and night. Public transport operates round the clock. One observes crimes, robberies, beatings and abuse of alcohol and drugs. This increases the risk of crime. I live in Calgary in December and so far I wasn't witness to any transgressions of law. I had a strange encounter only one, what are two men under the influence of a drug and alcohol, I have attempted to hook train station. All other situations don't affect me directly.

I think that the police response in Calgary is faster and more efficient than in Poland. I take note of their life experience. We don't have Restorative Justice Program. I'll vote for the Restorative Justice Program in my country and I'm convinced that this is a good step towards the FUTURE

Recipe for personal Angel

We need:
- a large place,
- a lot of clean snow (down, no ice),
- shoes Snow Report,
- snow Jacket,
- snow pants,
- gloves,
- Keep smiling,
- Cameraman (the best will be nephew).

With a smile Lying on back. Ensure you have a softly place. Waving his hands and legs to the sides create your personal Angel.

Be careful..!!!

The last vacation I was a victim and I was robbed on the street. I got hit by a cyclist when I walked on the street. The other person raised my wallet. I case presented myself to the police. I remember a thief face. All information has been provided to police. This's dangerous when you walk alone on the street and no one to assist you. Most importantly, nothing happened for me. Money isn't everything!

Contrast colour flag :)

I'm from Poland. My flag have 2 colours red and white, the same colours then Canadian flag. I realy like the combination of these colors, but I would do something cheerful, like the flag of Canada. The Polish flag is divided in half, white colour on top, red at the bottom. The Canadian flag has three stripes, two red colours of on the sides and white of the middle. In the middle of a beautiful, red maple leaf- symbol of Canada. These two flags have the same colors, but are completely different from each other. When I look at Canada flag, I'm close to my country.

City Live & Country Live. I prefer...

Look at the pictures. Say what you feel? I told you my story about my little corner of the world.
At the end I say what is close for me, City or Country Life. My grandparents live on the farm, almost every holiday I spend time with them. I loves fresh vegetables, fruits, beautiful flowers from the garden. Everything, what I do is to open air. I loved watching the morning sunrise and sunset. I was lying on the gras in the garden. I loved looking at the change weather: spring, summer, autumn, and winter time. I loved being there for all seasons. Now I lived in the City, but in the future I will have Ranch with horses. Only in the Country you're saw the storks on the roof, sometimes only in the picture.
