Be careful..!!!

The last vacation I was a victim and I was robbed on the street. I got hit by a cyclist when I walked on the street. The other person raised my wallet. I case presented myself to the police. I remember a thief face. All information has been provided to police. This's dangerous when you walk alone on the street and no one to assist you. Most importantly, nothing happened for me. Money isn't everything!

  4. I am struggling with my comment. I understand your relief at being OK following this attack. However, I also feel that every human being has the most basic right to walk alone no matter if it is day or night. This attack was not your fault for walking alone. It is only the fault of the attacker. Worldwide, it has become considered dangerous for women to walk alone. Especially at night. There is a movement called "Take back the Night" --- a protest that calls for women to be powerful and un-afraid, and be safe on their own day or night. Now, we must still be sensible, be aware of our surroundings, be alert, and listen to our "gut" about things that feel unsafe. Every country is different in this aspect. Some countries are more dangerous than others. But it distresses me that some consider the very unfortunate thing that happened to you to be your mistake.
